Bicycle Film Festival
Melbourne edition of travelling international film festival celebrating bike culture
2007–2009
The BFF originated in New York City in 2001 when Brendt Barbour was hit by a bus while cycling. He was determined to turn the negative into positive, creating a celebration of bike culture including film, art and music. The Melbourne festival ran over three years with an emphasis on connecting disparate bike loving communities to consolidate Melbourne’s many bicycle lovers. In addition to the film program, each of the festivals contained an art show, rock gig, fashion show and street party. Explore more pics of the 2009 Melbourne BFF here.
