Under Capricorn
A boutique trade show staged as part of the Melbourne Design Festival

Under Capricorn brought together artists and designers in a trade show focused on newly released products, materials, technologies and services. Held in a big marquee on the Federation Square carpark roof, the event was designed around a custom made wishing tree by local craft maker Simon MacEwan. Attendees to the trade show could complete a wishing leaf and attach it to the tree, which, by the end of the event held on its branches a dialogue around the future of design in Australia.
