Wheelie Workshop

A bicycle skills and safety program for children.

2013–2016

The Wheelie Workshop blended children’s entertainment with essential bike knowledge in a lighthearted setting. Participants were greeted by bicycle doctors who not only diagnosed lots of fun decorations for bikes and helmets, they also performed a safety check instructing parents on key areas to be aware of to ensure a safe ride such as seat height and helmet fitting.

With their bikes, scooters, helmets and selves decorated a fashion parade allowed for instructors to observe technique and handling, offering tailor made instruction to make bike riding easier and safer. With their children on board many parents left the workshop with a renewed intention to include bike riding as a family activity.
